The 2008 Acura TL Type S is Still a Very Desirable Sport Sedan

Once upon a time, the was the best-selling luxury sport sedan in the US. About 15 years ago, outdid themselves with the 3rd generation TL that really shocked. the world and showed Acura just serious they were about going after the best from Germany. When the model returned in 2007, its near 300 HP V6, available 6-speed manual, and stunning looks had a lot of enthusiast trading in BMW, Audi, and Mercedes sport sedans. Today, Acura seems a bit lost but there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon as a is coming very soon with a turbo V6 and SH-AWD. Until that new car arrives, the old 2008 still represents the best that Acura has to show for a sport sedan and its exactly why used examples can command a premium, especially if they're in good shape.

The TL looks timeless!!! I would say the TL, The TSX , The CL and the Legend are all still very very desirable.

This was one of the highlights of the late 2000s and probably peak Acura. The Type S despite being a FWD car really gave a great alternative to the 335i, C350 and of course its Japanese rival the IS 350 something to fear. It was honestly just a SH-AWD system away of being faultless in terms of powertrain.

I found a Type S 2008, but it was a blue one. Has some modifications, and it's only $7,995! It has about 190,000 miles on it, which is why it's cheap, but it's reliable and I think I'll have to make a deal on it.

I actually don't like the front of these. I have a 2002 TL and love the front of mine The 2002-2003 look like old school Japanese mustangs. I can't stand the Rear end of my car though. My second Gen has a dated blocky, "Accord like" styling in the rear. This TL has a GORGEOUS rear end. My dream would combination of both.

This video is kind of stroking my ego after just buying a 2008 Type S a few days ago, after the 2nd tranny went out on my 2002 Type S. I love this car so far, aside from needing to have the brakes looked at days after driving it off the lot. Only disappointments is that the bluetooth feature only applies to talk and I actually think the factory Bose sub in my 02 is better than the one in the 08.

My 2005 Acura TL with navigation has these features. What other car has them? 1. A touchscreen navigation system. 2. Automatic volume reduction on the sound system when driving directions are given. 3. Unlocked navigation. Select a destination after you get on the interstate. 4. A location circle on a touchscreen. Touch it. It brings up your exact location and elevation. 5. An electronic keyboard on a touchscreen. No dials or joysticks needed. Type in the address. 6. Instant database search. Start typing a city or street. It brings up a list to select from.
