The same way they do in most cars. The passenger has to unlock the door. Or pull interior front door the handle. Not a uniquely Genesis problem. Although I was able to code my Audi to allow the key to work with it running. Maybe that’s an option.

Thank you for an interesting introduction. You've helped me understand the Roma's place in the Ferrari lineup. Every manufacturer wants to field a daily driver model, and Ferrari knows their customers very well. In this light, the Roma is the perfect addition for the Ferrari owner with room in their multiple car garage. As for me, I'll keep dreaming! 👍

I have a 2018 SEL Premium with 44 thousand miles on it in Vermont. So far so good. I like it for the big back seat (captain chairs option) and third row seating. The Fender system sounds good to me. Yup it like an igloo cooler on the inside. The plastic is easy to clean. I think a person would need to move up to an Audi or Volvo to get a nicer interior. Controls are straightforward. Much less distracting than a Volvo. Important when driving kids. The beast rides and drives well. It is big and awkward in city use. We live in the country on a gravel road so it’s good if you have plenty of space for driving and parking. So far we haven’t had any significant problems with the vehicle. It is always dealer serviced and repaired. They probably are on top of service bulletins. We have had some occasional bugs with the entertainment system. On several instances the car put on the brakes when nothing was in front of it. My recommendation is to test drive any new car you are interested in at least three times on separate occasions. Really think over your options over time before plunking down your cash. I put the shifter in sport mode when I want the vehicle to get up and go - and it does. My Atlas is a good and overall pleasant vehicle to drive and for passengers.

Why people would waste their money on RCF? I love the LC500, but ignorant statements like that make me want to put the facts out. Both cars have their own advantages. The LC500 is a better and more comfortable/softer touring car while the RCF is a better liuxury, high performance car for people who once in a while go do time attacks on the track and to compete in the M4 segment. The sustained avg G-limit difference of 0.88g vs 0.98g speaks for itself. All of the R&D costs for that V8 were funded by the RCF and the RCF GT3 homologation program so it exists because of the RCF. I have driven both before choosing the RCF. Sticking to the facts, RCF is smaller, 400+ lbs lighter, better performing both in a straight line by more than a 0.5 seconds to the 1/4 mile and around the track and just plain much better performing for cheaper. It is a much more sportier and thrilling experience pushing at high limits. RCF also has a much more usable backseat and trunk than the LC500. My RCF carbon/TVD with torque vectoring differential came with a long list of the track-spec hardware that the LC500 does not. Yeah, the stock valved exhaust in the LC500 is better than the OEM RCF exhaust, but considering RCF is cheaper, one can get a full aftermarket exhaust. I actually have tunnel run videos on my channel with Invidia full exhaust. So yeah, if someone wants a GT cruiser to drive on the streets and does not care about the back seat, trunk space or going to the track or getting the best performance out of that engine then yeah LC500 does everything better, but for others RCF is the only logical choice who also want the 2UR engine.

@New Car Spin Dude, been there and went through all of the pros/cons. I have been through all of this because I needed to make the right decision. The size and exterior were the two big reasons for me ruling out GSF. I would agree if there was a 2nd gen ISF. RCF is almost 1 foot shorter than the GSF. has 100+ lbs weight difference. GSF drives like a long car where the driver sits aft of the CoG rather than closer to rear axle. GSF is also tuned softer than the RCF for better daily drivability. I like stiffer tuned cars as they feel sportier, but not overly harsh like the previous F30 M4. While GSF comes with rear doors and bigger rear leg room, many enthusiasts are willing to sacrifice that for a car that is not 193.5 inches long.

I'm getting my red one next week. Here in Australia the N line gets automatic rear blind and manual rear door blinds, heads up display, heated and cooling front seats and heated seats in rear, both rear seats have a map pouch, 360°camera, blind spot camera and I loved the brakes and I found minimal torque steer when I opened it up in 2nd and third.

I have a '98 Z3 M in the same color combination..... There's a cover for the top once it's down which finishes off the look quite nicely. A 20+ year old Roadster is going to be a more bare bones experience....if that's what you want. If you want the tech, then buy the Miata. One thing I have to replace in the BMW is the the plastic rear window....another throwback from 20 years ago....the outside seal deteriorated and some water is getting inside. One thing I notice....when you close the door in the Miata you really notice the drawback in a lighter car because the door sounds tinny when you close it. When the BMW door closes, it sounds and feels much more solid.

Great review. I agree that hatchbacks are better than CUVs/SUVs, especially if you don't need AWD. Hatchbacks/sedans are also so much more fun to drive than CUVs/SUVs/trucks due to the lower center of gravity and lighter curb weight. BTW, there are under seat vents that guide air-conditioned air from underneath the front seats to the rear seats. So I'm sure Boomer wasn't too hot.

I hate how they did not make the rear turn signals and brake lights in led. I’ve been working on leasing this for 2 weeks, same Msrp so I’m trading in my Mazda cx30 for it. This thing is fast but all Volvo dealers are dirty! Well most dealers are dirty. Last week on the same msrp 60k they wanted 6k down, 830 a month in CA. I’ve reached out to every dealer and some wanted 7k down for 730 a month. After shopping around one dealer offered the same car for 2995 down and 495plus tax. I presented that offer to the dealer who wanted 830 a month and he tells me”oh we can match that” well where the hell were you last week!? Goes to show you if you don’t shop around they will [email protected] you. Now I know why Volvo dealers look so nice. It’s just crazy how my Mazda cx30 has Bose speakers and radar cruise control but the xc40 recharge base model at 58k does not..must get the advance pack. Shop around ppl!

Good walk around and drive video for this new generation 5th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The interior for the Summit trim is very nice. Luxurious....indeed. I don't know if it's Nappa leather, Palermo leather or Laguna leather used, but it looks great! The platform the Jeep Grand Cherokee L is built on is a platform from Alfa Romeo. Not from the RAM 1500. The soon to be released full size SUVs Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer twins will be built from the RAM 1500 platform. The Jeep Wagoneer will compete with the regular full size SUVs while the Jeep Grand Wagoneer will compete with the luxury full size SUVs. As for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L, I'll be getting it. However, I'm not going to get the first year of the new generation though. I'll get the second year of the new generation so that it'll give me more time to put some money aside for it and also by that time couple more standard features will get added. When the time comes for me to get it I'll get it in the Overland trim nicely equipped with the legendary 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine. Should be GRRREAT!!

      New Car Spin

Yeah, I goofed on the 1500 architecture, but I had a cram session with Jeep just before this drive and I need to get it all right while I'm there on camera. It would be easier to write something or do a bug edit later, but I prefer to get breaking news out the door. Thanks for watching!

Reviewing the owners manual would help explain things.

I never had luck, bit I do think it's possible these days. Maybe a software update unlocked that feature? This review is a few years old and I belive this vehicle was a prototype. Your best bet is to visit a dealer and play with the nav system.

I traded that in last year for a stupid crazy deal on a S90 T6 R-Design.

Sweet car... but the glossy piano-black center stack with touch-sensitive buttons is a mistake! Why do car companies keep doing this?!?!? 😟

@New Car Spin And it'll be scratch-city in just a short time! 🤣 I do honestly like the look of gloss black... but it doesn't stay pretty for long. And those touch-sensitive buttons are evil.

Gloss black does a few things. It adds depth while the reflection creates a surface that looks elegant. The gloss makes the interior feel modern and upscale, but I agree that it needs to stop. It's a trend, just like diamond stitched leather or carbon fiber.
